Innovex, founded in 2015 in Uganda, is a leading off-grid solar energy company in Africa addressing the region's low energy access rate. Innovex specializes in embedded systems, connected devices, web and software development, and wireless communication technologies. Its flagship IoT solution, ‘Remot,’ enables remote monitoring, control, and maintenance of solar PV systems, supporting solar companies and researchers across over 8 African countries.
Through the Transforming Energy Access (TEA) program with the Carbon Trust, Innovex has established a local manufacturing facility for SMT and plastic components. This initiative enhances local value addition, creates job opportunities for solar product developers, and improves access to spare parts in the solar energy sector.
